| I bought small plants of this double Hydrangea in blue, pink and white. Once established they all
seem to have blue flowers and I assume it is a single cultivar, though I don't know the name. |

Between 1990 and 1993 Ryoji Irie assembled a collection of un-named seedlings from previous deliberate crossings. In 1993 he transferred pollen from
H. macrophylla 'Sumidanohanabi' onto an un-named seedling and raised 35 plants. In 1994 he selected 'Rie05' from those plants. |
