Hydrangea macrophylla 'Veitchii'

A very old variety that is possibly best described as not compact.
First catalogued by Robert Veitch nursery in Exeter in 1905, they probably obtained it from Japan a few years earlier.
Tall growing, it has been rather gaunt in a pot and it is going out as soon as I can think of a good place for a large white Hydrangea.
