27th October 2006
A vigorous annual species with glossy green leaves. It doesn't flower until october, and is completely destroyed by frost, so every year is a race to produce seed.
Spreading slowly around the garden (and being controlled where needed).
24th October 2008
I have it producing seedlings at the back of the conservatory (where it is hemmed in with concrete). I think it would be quite a hazard
in the open garden.
16th October 2009
The cold winter destroys the adult plants completely, but the seed manages to survive, and pops up
wherever it gets a chance.
27th November 2010
Usually the plants are destroyed by frost but this year it was heavy snowfall in November that ended the season.
