Ipheion sellowianum

I haven't yet sorted out to my own satisfaction the distinction between this and Ipheion dialystemon. Perhaps there isn't one. I see both names in collections,
both appear in the 'Plant Finder', but all the plants look just like this one. Perhaps someone kind will enlighten me (or I might find the time to research it myself,
but that looks less likely).
Whatever it is, an interesting yellow flower for mid-winter. I had a rather half-hearted attempt to pollinate it with 'Jessie' (but the Jessie wasn't interested in hetero-sex!) but
it was cold and rainy and then a slug ate half of the flower away, so I sort of lost interest. Maybe next year. (And I should really get out more, and meet more people!).
