Iris ensata 'Gusto'

A shining purple form with a white centre to the flower.
Raised by Walter Marx and registered in 1954. The Marx Gardens catalogue for 1955 says;
GUSTO (Marx 1954). Each $3.75. Dramatic sparkling beauty predominantly of a rich shade of deep blue. Flower is crisp and ruffled with large white center
and radial white markings. Upright white styles tipped blue. Four to six large blooms on 3 to 4 foot stems of ideal three way branching. No variety stands out more conspicuously in the garden.
