The winter flowering Iris unguicularis forms are a delight in a sunny well drained location.
The foliage can become distinctly ragged during winter, but it is easily overlooked when
the flowers open.
'Walter Butt' has striking flowers in a soft lilac blue during the coldest part of winter. I was
shivering when I took this photo, which is why it is out of focus.
