Iris 'Broadleigh Rose'

A Pacific Coast hybrid raised by Broadleigh Gardens. I had wanted to try some of these beautiful hybrids for a long time
but somehow the right moment didn't arrive. I ran into this one at a plant sale while being distracted
by Geraniums. Someone was putting a lot of effort into extolling the virtues of a plant she wanted to sell me - I was too embarrassed
to tell her it was one of my own hybrids. I changed the subject and bought the first pot that came to hand,
and when I saw it was this Iris I was filled with glee.

The AIS register says;
'Broadleigh Rose'. 15" (37cm). Midseason bloom. Standards and fall old rose, style arms buff rose, signal yellow veined red. Parentage unknown.
