A recent South African hybrid from the range that has been introduced as the "African Beauty" series. They were developed to combine colour, scent and ease of cultivation.
In the UK there has been a problem finding a large scale market for them - I have seen them sold as everything from flowering houseplants to spring bedding. They are all excellent
plants, but tender bulbs that flower in march in the UK are up against some serious spring competition.
