Lachenalia reflexa

Tubular yellow flowers. My plant produces three or four flowers on the spike,
held low among the leaves. I have seen plants with much taller scapes
 and more flowers.

A small growing species that is allied to L. viridiflora though I find it easier to grow under my conditions. In the low light levels
in my greenhouse it becomes more etiolated than it would in habitat.
It occurs naturally in a small
area of the south-western Cape and wild populations are suffering from local development for housing and agriculture. It has established as a weed
in Western Australia where it may become invasive.
