A large growing evergreen tree from New Zealand. I bought a young plant that is growing in a large pot in the Hedychium house.
When (if) it forms something that resembles a trunk I will try it outside. Like so many of the interesting
evergreen trees from New Zealand it is not particularly frost hardy, but it might survive here.

Planted out this spring after I had allowed it to get far too big in the greenhouse. It suffered some root damage in the move
and a dry summer set it back significantly. I am hoping for new shoots from the base but it may now be dead.
