An unidentified species from South Africa introduced to cultivation by Gary Hammer in California.
He collected it originally near Barberton, Mpumalanga province. Long strap shaped leaves mottled with purple. Pale greenish brown flowers.
Part of the new austerity. This is a division of the original grown in pure 10mm stone chippings
to see if they provide a good rooting environment (the cacti are all doing very well). So far,
results are encouraging.
