A tiny midget of a Lily, excellent in a pot but it would be lost in the garden.
Comparatively enormous flowers.

The species ranges from sea level to 3,500m in Taiwan and the var pricei is botanically included
within Lilium formosanum var formosanum. The name L.f.pricei remains useful horticulturally
for these small growing forms particularly because they are hardy. Collections from sea level in Taiwan
would have to be viewed as hardy in a jovial, optimistic sort of way.
