Lobelia bambuseti

A giant Lobelia species from the mountains of Kenya at elevations up to 3,200m. I was given one as "borderline hardy" and it is too large to bring into the house
so I was pleased that it survived in the Hedychium house. I thought that it might flower this year but by the end of the season it was showing no sign of an inflorescence.
It is very prone to attack from red spider mite.
