Lycopodium 'Cuddra'

I have wanted to grow a Lycopodium species for years, just as a matter of curiosity really. I ran into these sprigs being sold as an aquarium
ornament and bought them immediately, in spite of knowing that Lycopodium cuttings are almost impossible to root.
I planted a few in the thick moss under a sycamore tree, and the rest I kept in a moist closed case. I managed to keep it alive until august, and I really
believed for a moment that it might have rooted, but it hadn't. The pieces I put outside disappeared the next day - somwhere there is a very exotic
blackbirds nest!
I have no idea what species this was.
