Mahonia aquifolium
25th February 2020
A common and easily pleased species that predates my current spate of Mahonia planting. It went in sometime during the 1980's
and I am sure that it is one of the cultivars selected for landscaping use. I can't remember which one. There may be a label underneath it that
clarifies the details but it will be staying there.
The species comes from western North America and it has been tough and not very spectacular under trees here.
