A species from the highlands of Mexico. As you can see, my plant is still young!

And it didn't get much older. The winter of 2009 destroyed it, and although I left the dead stick in the ground
for a couple of years it was more from lethargy than hope of a recovery.
The original plant was always a bit suspect anyway, raised from seed of M.pallida growing in a mixed collection,
it could well have been a hybrid.
