If I had a suitably warm greenhouse, I would grow a lot more orchids like this, but since they all have to be found windowsill space through the winter I am rather limited.
This one arrived when I felt sorry for it looking tatty and out of flower after Christmas last year, and it has repaid me by flowering this year. There is something quite wonderful about
watching the great fat pseudobulbs of these orchids building up through the growing season, knowing that the bigger the bulbs, the greater the prospect of flowers.
