Narcissus 'Jetfire'
2nd March 2013
A Cyclamineus hybrid with an orange tinted trumpet. It produces sturdy flowers on short stems and is becoming popular
as a pot plant in early spring (the big retailers can use it to fill up space once the Christmnas Trees
are gone).
I bought a couple of pots in the hope of raising some seedlings, something to keep me amused during January. I didn't get any seed
despite repeated pollinatioins, probably because it was a very cold month. My current plan is to plant them out
and enjoy them in the garden.
Raised by Grant E. Mitsch in Oregon and registered in 1966, N.cyclamineus was the pollen parent.
