Narcissus 'Stocken'

A funny little thing that was grown from wild collected seed, but nobody seems to know where
the seed came from or who grew it. It was given a name so that it could be listed in a catalogue!
It is a tiny little Jonquil that flowers towards the end of the season when the garden is filled
with little fragrant delights. It is exactly the sort of thing I like and yet I have misgivings.
There is something about the shape of the corona and the flat face of the tepals that looks like a
projectile vomiting sunflower. There is something slightly sickly and bloated about it.
Which is a pity because it is exactly the sort of thing I like.
