Two plants have been named 'Afterglow'. The first was a N. sarniensis cultivar raised by Barr
sometine in the period between the wars (1918-1939). It had flowers in the pink range of colour
and may no longer exist.
The second plant is this vigorous, tall, orange, loose flowered cultivar. Raised in Australia,
It is a seedling from N. 'Aurora' (N. bowdenii x N. sarniensis) crossed back
with N. sarniensis. It is said to be a triploid.
This one has now been renamed 'Australian Afterglow'.
