Nerine 'Catkin'
11th September 2011
A good bright red flowered cultivar. New here so I didn't really know what to expect as the bud expanded
and was pleasantly surprised.
Why 'Catkin'? - your guess is as good as mine.
An early flowering cultivar. In the Nerine Nurseries catalogue Tony Norris says:
A nice, small, dark orient-red flower with eight to ten florets to each head.
I find it has thin stems but the small flower heads save it from drooping.
