Nerine 'Cleopatra'
16th October 2021
Raised by Tony Norris at Nerine Nurseries though Sir Peter Smithers says that it was raised by Exbury.
Tony Norris says:
"The most strongly marked bi-colour we have seen and an outstanding new variety. The six inch diameter head of eleven or twelve florets is carried on an eighteen inch stem.
The individual segments are red edged with dark lilac-purple and the prominent stamens are lavender. Several of the florets have seven or eight segments."
I am not convinced that this is the same plant.

This seems to be the real thing, photographed in Ken Hall's collection on the Isle of Wight.
