Osmanthus x burkwoodii

A hybrid between O. delavayi and O.decorus first raised by Messrs Burkwood and Skipwith in Kingston-on-Thames in 1930 and given an Award of Garden Merit in 1984 by the RHS.
Slow growing, it can make a decent clipped hedge if attended to regularly. If neglected it can become ungainly.
