Paeonia obovata ssp. willmottiae

A tetraploid race (2n = 20) of P. obovata from China, it produces tall stems with large white flowers in May. I grew it from seed and it did very well in the greenhouse
but has been slow to establish in the garden. I think it has now got a hold and I am hoping the stem will be stronger next year.
