A small growing species with as small tuberous rootstock. Occurs naturally in Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia and Somalia. I wouldn't expect it to be very tolerant of low yemperatures but it has survived here for a few years in a cold greenhouse. My plant has more finely cut leaves than pictures in habitat show. It also has white or pale pink flowers rather than the greenish-grey flowers it promises (mine may not be the real thing).
