A hybrid Penstemon from an American breeding program using P.hartwegii as one parent
(scarlet, evergreen, adaptable). I have been trying a few bedding Penstemon as filler in the herbaceous border
but unfortunately they have not survived well, they seem to attract both frost damage and rabbits and
it isn't an auspicious combination.
