Persicaria campanulata 'Rosenrot'
5th July 1987
1st September 2012
I have had this since 1980, which is not in itself interesting, but in that time it has not died out and it has not
attempted to take over the garden.
This is the cultivar that has set the standard for dark pink flowered forms. Its greatest attribute is probably the lack of
excessive vigour. The leaves are interesting without being noteworthy and I find it a little straggly. The cost of
reduced vigour seems to be the loss of dense growth.
