Persicaria campanulata "Variegated"

Some reckless breeding work a few decades ago has resulted in a tide of Persicaria campanulata that I am slowly getting on top of (I think). Among the seedlings,
this variegated one turned up. Naturally, I only noticed it once I had cut it down as part of the seasonal summer slashing, but there was enough of a stem left in the ground to
dig up and plant in a pot. It isn't beautiful, but it is different.
