Petrocosmea duclouxii
21st October 2006
Rather like busses, I have spent years waiting to get hold of a Petrocosmea and then they all come along together. Plants are now flooding out of China at a rather alarming
rate, and it is to be hoped that they find secure homes. This species prospered in the greenhouse through the winter, and then went out into a frame for summer, where it
continued to prosper. I am sure that it would have continued to do well out there, but I have brought it in again for now - with luck I can propagate a few more
before I need to risk one!
In habitat in central Yunnan, it grows as a lithophyte on limestone rocks.
