A species with large, pale blue flowers from south-east Yunnan where it grows in cracks in limestone cliffs. Its location in Yunnan had been lost until Chinese botanists discovered a new population
on cliffs in the tiankeng near Mengzi in Yunnan. in June 2021. Tolerant of cold, dry conditions in cultivation.
