Plant breeders are working away at Phygelius to turn a good plant into a useful plant. One of the problems has been working
out what it is that needs improving. Eventually somebody will stumble across the perfect combination of flower power and compact growth
and suddenly it will be obvious. In the meantime people are raising seedlings by the thousand and it was inevitable that a yellow leaved
one would appear. So far it has been compact, vigorous, didn't burn in the sun (all good points) and didn't flower (less desirable).

No flowers last year either, so this year I have one in the greenhouse where some extra heat has done the trick.
