x Phlebosia 'Nicolas Diamond'

A remarkable fern hybrid found as a chance sporeling discovered by James Georgusis in his greenhouse in Mataire, Louisiana. It is a cross between Phlebodium aureum 'Maindaianum' and Pyrrosia lingua 'Cristata'. The Plant Patent application (US2019/0116710 P1) says:

" The seedling was initially noted for its unique foliage habit and fast rate of growth and was isolated for further observation in order to confirm the distinctness and stability of the characteristics first observed. After further evaluation it was determined that the unique characteristics of the candidate plant would prove favorable for commercial marketability. The new variety was given the breeder denomination ‘Nicolas Diamond’."

The plant has recently appeared as a house plant in this country.
Both of the parents grow well in the greenhouse here, but I struggle with the hybrid. It seems to be winter hardy but I think that it needs greater summer heat to prosper after the imposed dormancy of winter. I have recently repotted the plant and moved it to a greenhouse that gets hotter through the summer. I am hoping that it will start to prosper after a slow decline in recent years.
