Pieris japonica 'Purity'
Archive entry 04.04.21

'Purity' is one of those cultivars that I once grew. I think I dug it out to make some extra space around the greenhouse
but it was a long time ago. I may have replanted it but if it's out there I haven't identified it yet.
I bought this small replacement because I have fond (but vague) memories of it.
A late flowering selection, introduced by K. Wada in Japan in the early 1960's. Awarded a First Class Certificate by the RHS in 2001.
