Pittosporum tobira 'Variegata'
5th July 2014
Pittosporum tobira is a demse small shrub from Japan with scented flowers. It makes a stylish evergreen and tolerates dark and dry conditions
without excessive sulking. The variegated form is less tolerant and suffers in frosts. I grow it in the greenhouse.
It would probably be hardy here but it always looks as though it is recovering from a set-back outside.
