Pinguicula acuminata

21st November 2010

A small species from the state of Hidalgo in Mexico. It is said to grow on shady banks in misty forests, associated with moss and ferns. It occurs at altitudes from 2,400m to 2,800m.
It has been moderately tough with me, surviving in a cold greenhouse but not really prospering. It was finally killed by the "Beast from the East" in 2018.
