Pinguicula agnata Hidalgo

4th September 2007

6th June 2008

Wonderful pale flowers with a striking lilac margin. This is one of the P.agnata forms that has survived the winter, when temperatures in the greenhouse fell to -5degC. This is probably the type collection of the species, found in the Zimapan district of Hidalgo growing on calcareous cliffs at 1,524m.
