A hardy, winter dormant species. I was given some seed in the summer, and a single seedling has germinated.
In a couple of years I might find out if it is the real thing. A tetraploid species (2n=32) from a small area that encompasses the Alps in Austria, Italy, Switzerland and Southeastern France. |
