This is a wild seedling found growing in the garden. It has produced some rather quaint pinkish
colour during the winter. Twenty years ago Dick Ide gave me a plant of his marvellous Plantago lanceolata 'Streaker', which is very like this, but more upright in growth. As I recall, he found it growing on a hedge bank in Eire. There is also a form called 'Binstead Picador', but I have not yet seen it. |
