An orchid from Eastern Russia, Japan, Korea and China where it grows in woodland. I have had problems managing its moist/dry growing cycle. It has a short dormancy after flowering and starts into growth in late autumn or early spring - it has done both for me but didn't behave as though it was happy about either. On the plus side, it has been getting stronger annually and produced a flower this year. Sadly it died after flowering without forming a new tuber. |
