Pleurothallis hemirhoda

11th July 2010 25th April 2010 1st August 2010
A species from cloud forests in the mountains stetching from Venezuela to Bolivia and it reaches elevations of 2100m.
There is a theoretical chance that it will grow in the greenhouse here. In practical terms it flowered in ther first year and has declined slowly since then. It may well be better if I put it in a growing case for a few months in the worst of winter.
Plants in cultivation are properly identified as P. nuda, P. hemirhoda is a synonym.
