Eiger is the hybrid between Pleione formosana and Pleione humilis. Registered by Ian Butterfield in 1979.
It produces seedlings that vary from white to pale pink, with a strongly marked frilled white lip. My plant is a rather pretty pale pink, appearing almost white.
