P.pleionoides x P. Shantung, raised by Ian Butterfield and registered in 1982. A large flowered grex with wide open flowers. Said to prefer a colder winter than many hybrids, I should be so lucky. I love the thought that I might be inadvertently providing too much warmth. This plant was sent to me as an exchange and seems a bit dark for 'Shot Silk', but I will give it a few more years to see how it develops. |
