Podocarpus matudae
2nd April 2021
Every now then I get the overwhelming urge to plant one of these tender Podocarpus (which I love) in the garden (which they hate).
I haven't succeeded yet but perhaps this time?
Podocarpus matudae comes from Mexico and Central America where it grows in mixed woodland, sometimes in cloud forest at al;titudes up to 2,400m.
There is a chance that it will be hardy here and it's a chance I am prepared to take. It grows in some of the milder gardens locally.
