Polystichum tsus-simense

There it is, camouflaged by the snow. A good strong more or less evergreen fern. I planted a few among the hellebores
to see if a variation in foliage texture was a good thing or not. I am still undecided. I think it
would prefer a bit more moisture than it gets in the woodland but perhaps it just needs time to establish.
Although known as the Korean Rock fern it is native to a large part on Indochina including Japan, Thailand and China as well as Korea.
