Polygonatum polyanthemum 'F&S 364

A low growing species friom Turkey, Russia and Iran. It has a quality about it not shown by any other species I grow. It is crisp, fresh, well defined. The shiny green leaves are without the milky greyish tones that haunt other species, and the flowers are lime and white instead of the dull blur of green and white that sprout from the armpits of other species like crystallised sweat (but I love them for it anyway).
This form was collected at 1800m in the Elburz Mountains in Iran by Paul Furse and Patrick Synge in October 1977. It was originally identified as a form of P. orientale.
