Polypodium cambricum 'Falcatum O'Kelly'

A "Semilacerum" form I have just bought from Julian Reed, the National Collection holder, at Great Dixter Plant Fair.

Martin Rickard says:

"'Semilacerum Falcatum O'Kelly', 45-60cm (18-24in), found in County Clare, Eire by O'Kelly around the beginning of the twentieth century. The fronds are lance-shaped (uncommon in P. australe) and the pinnae are sickle shaped (falcate) and curved towards the tip of the frond. The bipinnatifid pinnae can extend more than halfway up the frond in well-grown specimens. This is a beautiful fern, the arching fronds somehow give a feeling of movement. Rare."
