The forms of Polypodium cambricum produce the best growth through the winter. This one has strongly crisped margins to the leaves and makes dense clumps of fresh green fronds.
A famous and beautiful ancient cultivar. Discovered by Richard Kayse in 1668 growing at Dinas Powys in South Wales. It grew on
a sheer limestone cliff, and it is still there. Plants in cultivation are divisions of the original plant
because it is sterile. Hopefully it will continue to grow in its limestone crevice long after the plastic pot
mine grows in has perished.
