Polypodium formosanum (now Goniophlebium formosanum) is a small, creeping fern from southern Japan (Kyushu), south China and Taiwan.
It has very distinctive blue-green rhizomes. It is given a hardiness estimate of 0degC so it was pushing its luck in my greenhouse. I kept it for three or four years
but it was going backwards. In retrospect I am not sure if it was too cold or too wet and I think it is worth another try if I get the chance.
