A fern with a simple attraction. Plain fronds that produce occasional branches. Martin Richard's description says: "'Ramosum Hillman', 30-38cm (12-15in), was found in Hampshire by C. Hillman in 1860. Fronds branch near their base, usually into three, and again near the tips. The overall effect is a fan-shaped frond. Was rare in cultivation but recently refound on a wall in Borrowdale in the Lake District. Come true from spores, but usually propagated by division. Rare." |
