Sometimes listed as a form of P. vulgare, it is noticeably larger than that species. Because the species and hybrids in the P. vulgare aggregate
are notoriously difficult to distinguish, I am simply listing it by its cultivar name pending clarity (don't hold your breath). I have not been able to find out anything about its origin, but it seems to be distinct from P. cambricum 'Herbert Whitley'. |
